Privacy policy

Googie Gogo is a photo app that never sees your photos. This document explains exactly what that means, and what little data we do handle.
Your photos
Googie Gogo reads your photo library only on your device, and only with the permission you grant through iOS. Everything it works out — which files are duplicates, which photos look alike, which are blurry, which are screenshots — is computed on your iPhone or iPad using Apple's PhotoKit and Vision frameworks.
- No photo, video, or thumbnail is ever uploaded to us or to anyone else.
- We hold no copy of your library and no index of it on any server.
- Derived data (file hashes, similarity fingerprints, quality scores) is stored only on your device, and is deleted when you delete the app.
- Text found in your screenshots, faces detected in your photos, and any location recorded on a photo are used on-device only and are never logged, transmitted or retained beyond the analysis itself.
Deleting photos
Googie Gogo can only delete photos through Apple's own PhotoKit deletion flow, which always asks you to confirm. Nothing is deleted by a swipe. Deleted photos normally go to your Recently Deleted album under Apple's standard behaviour; that album is controlled by Apple, not by us.
Accounts
There is no account and no registration. Googie Pro is tied to your Apple Account through the App Store, so we never see your name, your email address or your payment details.
If you choose to use Sign in with Apple — which is entirely optional and only makes Pro portable across a change of Apple Account — Apple gives us an opaque identifier and, if you allow it, a private relay email address. We do not receive your real email address unless you explicitly choose to share it.
Analytics
With your consent, we record anonymous product events so we can see which parts of the app people find useful. You can turn this off at any time in Settings › Privacy, which stops collection immediately.
What an event can contain:
- The name of the action, for example
cleanup_completed. - Bucketed counts, for example "50–99 photos reviewed" — never exact numbers that could identify a particular library.
- Which cleanup mode was used, and whether photo access is full or limited.
- A random identifier for the install, which you can reset from Settings.
What an event can never contain: photo content, thumbnails, filenames, photo identifiers, locations, text from screenshots, face data, or your device's advertising identifier. The app links no advertising framework at all.
Crash reports
With the same consent, crash and error reports are collected so we can fix problems. A report contains the app version, device model, iOS version, a stack trace, and small diagnostic keys such as which cleanup mode was open. It contains nothing from your photo library.
Who processes this data
Anonymous analytics and crash reports are processed by Google (Firebase) on our behalf. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple; we never handle payment data.
Your rights
Because we hold no account and no personal identifiers, there is generally nothing to export or erase. If you would like the anonymous data associated with your install deleted, reset your identifier in Settings › Privacy › Reset my anonymous ID, or email us and we will do it for you.
Children
Googie Gogo is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
