Something not working, or a question about Googie Pro? Write to us. A person reads every message, and we answer all of them.
To get a useful answer first time, tell us your device (for example iPhone 15), your iOS version, the app version from Settings › About in Googie Gogo, and what happened just before the problem. Please don't send photos — we never need them, and we can help without them.
Questions we are asked most
I bought Googie Pro but it isn't unlocked
Open Settings › Restore purchases in the app. Googie Pro is tied to the Apple Account that bought it, so make sure the device is signed in to that same account — there is no separate Googie Gogo account or password. If a restore still doesn't unlock it, email us and we will look into it with you.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, choose Googie Gogo and tap Cancel Subscription. Your Pro features stay available until the end of the period you have already paid for. To stop a renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Lifetime is a one-off purchase, so there is nothing to cancel.
How do I get a refund?
Every purchase is made through the App Store, so refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store's terms. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com using the Apple Account that made the purchase. We cannot issue an App Store refund ourselves, but if something in the app went wrong, tell us — we would rather fix it.
I've run out of photos for today
The free plan includes 50 photo decisions each day, every day, and the allowance resets at midnight in your own time zone. Googie Pro removes the daily limit and adds Similar Shots, Best Shot, blurry-photo detection and Storage Rescue.
I removed a photo by mistake — can I get it back?
Almost certainly, yes. A swipe never deletes anything: removals go to a basket you review, and iOS asks you to confirm before a single photo is deleted. Once deleted, photos go to Recently Deleted in Apple's Photos app, where they normally stay for up to 30 days — open that album and tap Recover. Googie Gogo keeps no copy of your library and is not a backup service, so after Recently Deleted empties, we cannot retrieve a photo for you.
A category says it found nothing, but I know I have those photos
Two common causes. First, Similar Shots, Best Shot, blurry-photo detection and Storage Rescue are Googie Pro features, and show as locked on the free plan. Second, if you granted limited photo access, Googie only ever sees the photos you picked — you can add more at any time from the app, or in Settings › Apps › Googie Gogo › Photos. If neither explains it, let us know what you expected to see.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Every bit of analysis runs on your device using Apple's PhotoKit and Vision frameworks. No photo, video or thumbnail is ever uploaded — not for analysis, not for support, not for analytics. The privacy policy sets out the little data we do handle.
Which devices does Googie Gogo run on?
iPhone and iPad running iOS 18 or later, from the App Store — download Googie Gogo here. There is no Android, Mac, Windows or web version, and no public beta.
Is a duplicate really a duplicate?
Googie Gogo calls two files identical only after a full SHA-256 hash of both matches, byte for byte. Anything less certain is labelled “similar”, never “exact”. Photos you have marked as Favourites in Apple's Photos app are protected and never proposed for removal.
What to write to us about
One address covers all of it — hello@googiegogo.com. Bugs, feature requests, a purchase that won't restore, privacy and data questions, invoices, and anything about our terms all reach the same inbox and the same people. There is no separate address to hunt for.
The one thing we can't do from that inbox is issue a refund: every purchase is made through the App Store, so refunds go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Write to us as well if something in the app went wrong — we would rather fix it.
We answer in English, within 1 UK business day. There is no phone line — email reaches us fastest and gives us the detail we need.
Who we are
